Dr. Robert Meadows, D.C.

Auburn Back Doctor Robert Meadows SrDr. Meadows is originally from Selma, Alabama where he met his wife, Meg in high school. They love practicing and living in Auburn, Alabama, where their two children Dempsey and Grace now attend Auburn University. Dr. Meadows completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University in 1996 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in pre-med zoology. He then went on to attend Life University in 1997 for his doctorate in Chiropractic. While attending Life University, he worked in the school’s research department, additionally working as an intern as well as seeing his own patients. He and Meg married in 2000 while at Life University and had their first child, Dempsey in 2001. He furthered his training by obtaining his Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (CCEP) in 2004. He practiced in Sandy Springs, Georgia until 2005 at which time they moved back “home” to Auburn and had their second child, Grace. He received his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) certification in 2007.

Since graduation he has worked with professional athletes from all over the world who sought treatment from Dr. Meadows and his clinic. He has worked with professional athletes from the MLB, NFL, PGA, WNBA as well as collegiate football, basketball, tennis, golf, equestrian, lacrosse and baseball players. Dr. Meadows attended the 2012 London Olympics in support of both USA Wrestling and USA JUDO. Dr. Meadows worked as the team chiropractor for Auburn University for over 9 years, working after practices, immediately prior to games, and traveling with the team to every game & bowl game to ensure our players could perform at their best (War Eagle!).

Dr. Meadows suffered a catastrophic disc injury which ended his career with Auburn. During the year plus recovery he has developed a passion for helping those suffering as he did, which led him to work with Disc Centers of America to establish an Auburn office and provide the best possible treatment for others.

“After experiencing the level of pain a disc problem can cause, I knew I needed to do more to help my community. Anyone suffering that severely will turn to drugs for relief… any relief they can get. As a doctor committed to natural healing without drugs and their side-effects I had not taken so much as a Tylenol in over 25 years. However, when experiencing the excruciating pain levels even I needed something just to make it through the day, something to try and get any sleep. Sadly, my injury was so severe that rapid surgery was my only option. I am very thankful for my surgeon, but I am also left with some permanent deficits as a result, and I know the statistics say I am likely to need a second surgery within 5-10 years. I am determined to never undergo that process again! If I can save anyone else from the merry-go-round of drugs, injections, epidurals, all the opioids and the severe risks of addiction that go with them I know I will have really and truly changed someone’s life. I know how the little things you take for granted can affect you when they are suddenly taken away, like the ability to put on your underwear, your socks, even just to stand! I am proud to have the opportunity to give people their life back.”
